Hi, I want to know a command on how to give infinite potion effects to a specific mob. Something with using the /effect command. Thanks for your help!

One way is to do the command /effect @e[type=then the type of mob you want to have the effect so let’s say a zombie] ima redo the command /effect @e[type=zombie] then type in the effect like let’s say speed

/effect @e[type=zombie] speed the next number is how long it will last if u want it to be forever do 1000000

/effect @e[type=zombie] speed 1000000 the next number is the level of the speed the maximum number of level is 255  Let’s say u want it level 80 speed

    /effect @e[type=zombie] speed 1000000 80

    Any other questions?

How about a mob that has a name
This actually only sets the effect to last for one million seconds, like the command says, and thats only 278 hours of gameplay, which if you play minecraft regularly is going to wear off soon enough. I play minecraft 8+ hours a day so this would only be a month until the effect faded

You can use "r" instead of "type" for within radius, "rm" for minimum of radius. You can connect these by using a ",". To verify a name, use "name". Or if you want to do tag, do "tag"

Idk if this is true but someone told me that if you take 2 of the same mob and give them the same effect then the result of them breeding will have that effect Infinity
