When trying to add a server it says its offline, but the server is definitely online

When I try to add the server to the list it shows it gives me the error Unable to connect to server () - Server appears to be offline. It must be online to add it

 

This server runs the bungeecord proxy on port 25565. (Version 1.7.9 Bungee Build #919)

 

Before you go saying the \generic anwser of you need to open port 25565

 

This a dedicated server in a data center running linux and the iptables firewall has been configured properly in fact the only ports open on this machine is a query port and the default minecraft port of 25565.

 

Players are able to connect to this machine without any problems and I have been able to add this server to other lists with no problems at all, but it seems that this server list has a problem and thinks that my server is offline when it clearly is not

 

You can use: mc.thetacraft.com or you can use the ip address of 192.99.168.220 to connect to the server
