You have to go to the difficulty and make it go all the way to the right and your other son has his like that. Hopes this helps! :)

the answer is actually really simple all you have to do is go in a game and click into your settings menu look at the difficulyly and make sure it is right up meaning the right side plus monsters only spawn on survival mode
