How does MinecraftServerList prevent a user from voting multiple times?

Hello, I would like to know how a few things work on this website. I have a problem that I believe some other people are voting with my username, which is causing problems for me on a server that I play on.

First question: how does MinecraftServerList prevent a player from voting multiple times per day? Does the website allow each IP address to vote only once? Or does it allow a specific name to only be voted once per day?

Second question: how long does the website prevent (either a name or IP address) from voting after the previous vote? Is it a full 24 hours, or is it some smaller number of hours?

I would appreciate these answers as they may help me figure out how to prevent the other players who are bothering me from voting under my name on this website.

Simple answer to a more complex problem: to prevent spam.

A username can vote once every 24 hours on the same server (Fixed time 0.00 UTC+2 is reset).
Same goes for IP, once every 24 hours pr server.

If someone would be voting for you under your name, it should be the same as YOU did the voting. As your username would get the potential reward ingame from voting.
On the other hand, if it is your IP that has been used already on that server - it means you are using some kind of shared IP with others. In that case, you might need to find another network to connect from. Eg. your smartphone.
