  • How to prevent a command from summoning an item after it has reached a certain amount of summoned items [1.15.2]

    +1 vote
I am using a redstone clock to summon a nether star every couple seconds, how do I prevent the nether stars from spawning after it reaches a certain amount (16 nether stars for example) using perhaps the /execute command

Perhaps a way to detect the nether stars not being lower than 16 and thus breaking the redstone clock or preferably just not executing the command

NOTE: I want the circuit to continue after the player picks up the items
