If i start a world on 1.15.2, will the Nether update once 1.16 is out?

So basically i've been thinking of starting a muliplayer minecraft world on PC with some friends, but some say that we should wait for 1.16 because the nether wont update, is that true?

You can start the world just do not go to the nether until the update is released.
