The easiest way to get these things is getting a mod. To do this, find the mod with the furniture you want. Then you want to download Minecraft Forge into your game. Then download your mod. In your .minecraft folder, a new folder will be there called "mods". Drag the extracted version of your mod download into this folder, then when you load the game, click the button that says mods, and apply it. After that, you should be able to get what was in that mod. Sometimes you do not need to go into the mod menu to select it, it applies itself. Try opening the world without going into the mod menu to try, if it doesn't work check the menu.

Then you move over to the crafting table on the crafting screen, click the crafting table to create one, once you do that, place the crafting table, best done in a safe spot, then you'll need to have the material to craft the furniture, like a chest you would need 8 planks, if you have 8, use the crafting table, and go to the chest on the crafting interface then click on it, it will craft the chest, for a bed, you need 3 planks and three wool, and so on. Just use the crafting table to make it.
