My creeper farm got destroyed by newly generated land. Why's that?

I login, and my creeper farm is all of a sudden semi-destroyed by newly generated dirt / stone / sand / a big cave underneath ... When nothing happened, nothing blew up, there was no hole, it had been working fine for a week now, even after 1.12

oh i feel so bad for you one i few years ago i build a house but one time when i loged in it was competly destroyed

That chunk must be corrupted, there is nothing you can do.
