Ok, so I think I may have somehow accidently enabled something that causes little pink dots to mark where my character has been. I am using mods but I've checked all of my mods to see if there was any sort of path tracker that I might have enabled and I've found nothing. Just for a reference here are the mods that I am currently using with minecraft 1.8:

I do know that I managed to activate this somehow when I was looking the information displayed when you hit F3 but like I said, I don't know exactly what I did. While its not causing any issues with my game play I find it irritating to look at and really just want to know how to turn it off.
