how can i fix black screen on Minecraft???

Hi,

Everytime I open my Minecraft Launcher and enter my criteria and attempt to log in, the Launcher screen will go black and will completley crash. I will also get a new folder on my desktop that is titled, "err-pid-4769". and when opened reads; "Fatal error on Java Runtime Enviroment etc. etc. blah blah."

I'm running on 1gb RAM. But I've played minecraft fine for months until I downloaded a mod.

I have tried everything. I have deleted all my mods, (META-INF folder too),my bin folder, my .minecraft folder. I even uninstalled and re-installed java to no avail. Pease help me!! I have gone weeks withouth Minecraft!!!!!!!!

IIt helps to download game again.this happened to me 2 times :( but i downloaded and it worked gain' :)
