  • Why do I still get monsters in caves if I light up the place like the forth of july?

    Because you may have lighted the cave up with a low level light source perhaps redstone torches. If you are using torches, that may be a bug.

    One possibility is that you are near a monster spawner and the spawn room is dark. Another is that there are parts of the cave system that is still dark and mobs are "dropping in" to your section of the cave. I see this alot when the dark leg of a cave is above my head in a wall or ceiling.

    ok whats going to help you the most is using natural light, like windows, holes, etc. either the problem is the type of light you're using or the fact that monsters can walk in to your little cave.
