minecraft has run out of memory? Keeps shutting down like every ten minutes. How do I fix this?

open up the new laucher then go to edit profile then jvm arguments then where it said -xmx1g take out the 1 and put a 2

I had same issue and downloaded Java 64 bit instead of Java 32 bit, this fixed it for me.
