how can i make a smooth brick in minecraft ????

1. Smelt cobblestone in a furnace to make stone.

2. Craft four stone in a square to make four (smooth) stone brick.

If I understand the question right, then you can burn cobble into smooth stone and then craft the smoothstone into bricks/slabs. Place smoothstone or any other type of stone in the 3 lowest crafting slots and this should give you a brick/slab
