Can I use a left/right click mouse on a Mac for Minecraft?

Hi there, we have a Macbook Air and are playing Minecraft on it. We don't use a mouse, just the tracker pad. friends are more familiar with using a Left/Right click mouse on a PC for Minecraft.

Does anybody know if Minecraft will work normally if I connect a Left/Right click mouse to my MacBookAir?

We would be grateful for any advice.

i play on a macbook air too i have gotten a mouse that u plug in to the usb port or u can change the controls at the options menu but the one problem with that is u cant craft
