Why won't my minecraft load?

Question

I click the 'Play in browser' button and it goes to the screen where you play minecraft but then it won't load.  I was able to play minecraft earlier after I had installed the new version of java.  Please reply soon.

I go into the minecraft launcher and I clicked on play but after it loads then goes back to the regular screen, the launch screen and I'm using optifine
