why does my minecraft update just freeze

it asks me would you like to update so i click yes and it just freezes.sometimes it goes to 11% then freezes

There is an Option button before login. Try to Force update! the game before logging in. If you still have the same issue then it's a bad connection issue between your internet provided and the minecraft server that hosts the update files. In this case you may want to contact the company from were you get internet and maybe they can help out.

I would say thats because you have bad video card drivers

buddy but I am not an expert as I am only 3 weeks old to minecraft
