Flight duration 1 not working on Bedrock?

Question

I'm trying to make a confetti popper type thing in the center of my table using fireworks, and they're firing off fine but they're going through the ceiling. It says that they have a flight duration of 1 but I feel like they shouldn't be going so high? Am I doing something wrong?
