How to get rid of lingering potions??

Question

I threw a lingering potion of instant damage 2 and imthe cloud (particles) aren't dissapearing at all. They are staying there for always. I know some potions dissapear but instant damage isn't a time potion.
Please help.

Use /kill @e

This will kill ALL effect clouds, players, and animals, but it works!
