does minecraft pc cause viruses??

ive  been playing minecraft on my gaming laptop for a year now and i didnt have any problems. but my gaming laptop broke and needs fixing so im stuck with my old laptop and i really want to play minecraft on it and im also scared that it might get a virus.

dont do it. it is being ran by java and you can easily be hacked. Iplayed it on my brand new computer first thing downloaded, Minecraft. Played it a lot next month my computer says can not find opersting system I took it to a repair place and they said it was Minecraft that did it!! I wanna play it so bad but now i can only play Xbox and PE version. :(

If you played official Minecraft from minecraft.net it's from Minecraft. But it's possible if you played forge or any other special loader that you got virus from that. Also next time install an Anti virus like avast or Malwarebytes
