So i have downloaded some texture packs. i then go onto minecraft and click on the texture packs button. It then bleeps and comes up with a warning saying that it cant find the file that should have the texture packs in. When I have looked they are in different files and the file that minecraft is trying to look in does not exist

Is it updated for your version? Have you installed it correctly? Have you deleted the meta-inf folder?

You shouldn't be able to run minecraft.jar as a folder to begin with, it should always be a jar.

You can also manually install your TP by just dragging it into your minecraft.jar.

what you do is go to your texture pack folder if everything is in there, take it out wait 5 seconds and put it back in. if everything is not there redownload it

I want to give my minecraft texture pack's clouds.png more variation, for example enabling overcast days. And to do this I increased the clouds.png size tenfold, giving me more space to draw clouds. When I test the clouds.png in-game some black overlay darkens the space between the clouds and I do not see the difference in transparency and different colour nuances I had expected. I can't get it to work. Yes, the .png has transparency.
How do I successfully up the size of clouds.png without causing the aforementioned issues?

If you have Windows 7:

1) Go to Run (press the windows key and R)

2) Type in %appdata%

3) Go to the .minecraft folder

4) Go to the texturepacks folder

5) Simply clear out all the files!

Go to the main menu, then options, and then turn off "fancy blocks." But if all your blocks are see through, I wouldn't be complaining.

1) download texture pack

2) open minecraft

3) click "Texture Packs"

4) click "Open Texture pack folder"

5) drag Texture pack into the folder

6) the texture pack will now show up under "Default"

An NPC village is usually found in a flat land biome, with Natural Structures:On.You can find some seeds which you can enter in when youre making a new world that has villages.In flat land, there is usually 20 villages scattered around the map.But in suvival, maybe 1 or 2.I reccomend using flat land to find villages

There is a good chance it will - if new blocks are introduced they will look black/white or transparent after the update. But texture packs get updated quickly.

You can't open most texture packs directly in Minecraft (yet). Please follow these steps to install a texture pack.

First of all open the MC launcher, click 'options' then click 'force update'. Now proceed to login like you normally would. Exit the game. There are multiple ways to install a texture pack. You can use a handy tool like HDpatcher to easiliy use texture packs. Here is the link to HDpatcher: http://www.minecraftdl.com/mcpatcher-hd-fix-texture/ Scroll down and click "Download MCPatcher HD Fix for Minecraft 1.3.2 Now" After 5 seconds you can skip the ad.fly ads and continue to download it from mediafire.

After you have done that simply open the MCpatcher, click the + and add your texture pack by double-clicking the zip file. Then click 'ok' twice and lastly click 'patch'. This should work. It might be wise to allocate more memory if you get a black screen on startup or low FPS.

Try launching Minecraft, clicking options and then 'force update'. Launch the game like you normally would, this might fix any corruption. If thats not the case try updating your java and your graphics drivers. These can be found from their respective manufacturers' sites on google.

No it doesnt!I have about 10 texture packs but big files might crash it.But under any circumstances it will not delete your game unless you press delete which why would you do!
