Why cant I see my brothers game on my computer via wifi when he can see my games?

We can join games opened on our old computer but when he plays on his PC I cant see him with multiplayer when "scanning for games on your local network"

Must be some sort of setting somewhere or? Please help! :-)

You cannot, the username you registered with is what you get. The reason of this is because if everyone was changing their names all the time, think how confusing it would be on servers, and ranks would reset..

Depends, if it's a temp ban, it may last for 3-4 days, but if its a perm ban, it lasts forever, but the admins can un ban you if you make a ban appeal

Actually if u and a mod installed I think it's because of the file meta.inf cuz if u had a mod installed without deleting that file it could crash Ur minecraft

In minecraft bin it has a file called meta.inf and that crashes Ur minecraft so u have to delete it

I am so sorry for disobeying the rules i wasnt posting my server on the minecraft-server-list.com my friend was. He told me it was ok and he kept posting, i told him that if you keep posting on http://www.minecraft-server-list.com that it is against the rules. Then the server was traced to me beacuse it is my unique ip even though i wasnt one posting it i have learned my lesson not to let other ppl to advertise for you. my ip has been banned from the website so i cant even get on the website to ask for appeal so i am asking here please help me :( i am so sorry, this was the only website i used to find my servers and post my servers i will never allow the rules to be broken. Please unban my ip from website

if they are playin multiplayer they have to be playing on different servers or when they are playin single they can play together but their minecrft skin needs too be changed different ffrom one of each other

So i have downloaded some texture packs. i then go onto minecraft and click on the texture packs button. It then bleeps and comes up with a warning saying that it cant find the file that should have the texture packs in. When I have looked they are in different files and the file that minecraft is trying to look in does not exist

One: You should delete your Bin file, than restart MineCraft.

It should say (On the loading screen) "Downloading Packages" (Or something along those lines)

Now on to what probably went wrong: The mod was probably installed wrong, or you don't have a needed mod (Such as Forge/ModLoader/Etc.).

And also: If this is PC (Computer) there is no crafting help GUI without plugins/mods.

If you are talking about a mod, it may be out of date, thus you may need to redownload.

No need to delete your entire minecraft folder, just force-update it by opening the launcher then going to options then click force update then login.

If you delete your map you will lose everything including worlds.

Have you tried force updating minecraft?

Perhaps a firewall is blocking your minecraft from accessing other servers like Norton or Mcafee.
